The table compares the percentages of women occupying three levels of management across four different industries in a European nation in 2006.
Overall, the hospitality industry recorded the highest proportions of women at all three management levels, whereas manufacturing consistently had the lowest figures. Across the four industries, managers accounted for higher percentages than executive and CEO roles.
Looking first at the Managers level, hospitality topped the list at 33.14%, far exceeding the figures for the other sectors. Moving on to executives, hospitality again led with 19.9%, followed distantly by IT at 12.82%. Finance and manufacturing lagged significantly behind, at 4.58% and 1.98%, respectively.
Finally turning to CEOs positions, 20.6% of women held this management position in hospitality, which was more than three times the proportion in IT (6.58%). Finance and manufacturing reported the lowest proportions, with respective figures being 1.98% and 1.21%.
