The charts illustrate Australia’s trade with three different countries (presumably China, Japan, and the United States) between 2004 and 2009, displaying the value of both exports and imports in Australian dollars.
Overall, the graph showed the details of Australia’s imports and exports with different countries.
Firstly, a gradual increase can be seen in both imports and exports when Australia traded with China over the years. As the value of imports stood at 18 billion dollars in 2004, whereas in 2009 it increased to 31 billion dollars. The value of exports was noticed at 12 billion dollars in 2004, and it reached 32 billion dollars.
Observing 20 billion dollars, the exports of Australia with Japan remained stable through the years after increasing slightly. But the exports of Australia grew dramatically. The exports accounted for 21 billion dollars in 2004, and this figure reached 30 billion dollars after an increase of 9 billion dollars in 2009.
Lastly, the least ups and downs can be seen in both exports and imports when Australia traded with the United States. The imports started at 21 billion dollars and remained stable in 2009 as well. The same thing was observed in exports in 2004 as well as in 2009.
