The three pie charts illustrate alteration of sales of five different books (adult fiction, travel, biography, children’s fiction and others) between 1972 to 2012.
Overall, it is evident that the interest of consumers for adult and children’s fiction books significantly increased, while sales for others, biography and travel showed a slight fall. Whereas others was the most popular book type in early period of time, adult fiction overtook it in the given period of time.
In 1972, proportion of sales of adult fiction, children’s fiction and biography marked 20%, the highest sale was account for others with 1/4, while travel magazines showed a mere 15%. After 2 decades, adult fictions’ and others’ persentages are swaped. The travel books and children’s fiction sale rose slightly (for 3% and 2% respectevily), while biography’s population showed steedy decline.
In 2012, sales for adult fiction showed up the record proportion for all time period, almost the half of the sales. Whereas children’s fiction shared a 1/4 of all sales, others, travel and biography books share decreased dramatically.
