The presented pie charts compare the changes of six different expenditure yearly by local authorities in Someland between 1980 and 2000.
Focusing on the gist, there was an upward trend in the spending of higher education, transportation and environment, while K-12 education, health and human services, and other experienced a downward trend during the period shown.
In 1980. The most significant share was higher education, making up 35%, which experienced a dramatic increase to 45% after a decade and then decreased slightly to 40% in 2000. In terms of transportation, it ranked third in the first year, witnessing a noticeable decrease to only 6% in 1990, followed by a substantial growth to nearly a quarter of total share.
Turning to the other features, there was little difference between the share of environmental services and other expenditure, as the former took up 4%, whereas the contribution of the latter is higher by a margin of 2% in 1980. After twenty years, environmental services had a marginal climb to 9%, while other spending declined to only 1%. Health and human resources was responsible for the remaining 16% in 1980, after which it dropped considerably by 10% and then grew to 22% in the final year.
