Overall, we can see a significant increase in using private cars over the given period; it was only about 40% in the beginning, afterwards it reached 60%. Public transport became the second largest leader among other segments after private cars. Last fractions were divided between lorries and other commercial vehicles and recreational vehicles.
In 1965, the proportion of private cars accounted for 40%; even though it was the lowest figure over 40 years, the segment stayed on top of market. Interestingly, the percentage of using personal cars climbed on 15% by 1985 and afterwards it reached 60% at the end of the period. Meanwhile, the proportion of utilizing public transport showed a marginally decrease from 25% in 1965 to 20% in 1985. Despite the decline, it increased by about 2% to 22% in 2005.
On the other hand, the percentage of using lorries and other commercial vehicles remained stable until 1985, it accounted for 20%, but 20 years later only 10% of individuals used such type of transport. Regarding utilizing recreational vehicles, the large proportion of it was in the beginning of the period (about 15%), afterwards the figure declined by 10%. Finally, in 2005 only 8% of recreational vehicles were used by people.
