first of all we can see that girls outnumbered boys in quantity but both girls and boys had a decline in percentage from 1984 to 2007.
demands for learning french had decreased in half but it remained the most studied among all. we can see that german learners had a slight decrease by 5 percent too but in contrast spanish language got more attention and got dobouled in percentage from 1984 to 2007 but it was still the lowest requested modern language by students.
to sum up the bars picture that girls are more eager to learn foreign language than boys, and requested language among students are french, german and spanish from highest to lowest repectively.
