After careful oberservation of the two maps provided, it is glaring that there are significant changes and improvement between the park in 1980 and the present day park. i believe the park is a place where people go to relax, take a walk and where parents take their kids and watch them play.
According to the maps, the park in 1980 has unique and lovely features such as the flowers, which is beautiful aspect of the park, it makes the park more colourful and bright, in addition, the park has secured walls around it preventing the children to wonder away from their parent or guardian. The present day park has an upgrade to it like the barbecue and the picnic table, regardless of the new improvement in the present day park, i strongly believe that the park in the 1980 is better.
In my opinion, the park in the 1980 is more secure cause of the wall around the park unlike the present day park, in the picture above the present day park cut down some trees just to put in picnic table, this is deforestation and it is not good for the climate. The flowers were cut down to create space for playground and also there is a clear representation of neglect in the present day park cause there are bushes now instead of the flowers there before, insects and small animals now have a hiding spot in the bush.
in conclusion, i believe the park in the 1980 is safer and ECO friendly than the present or modern day park
