The picture illustrates how Dalton town was transformed between 1815 and 2015.

Overall, the area underwent a number of dramatic changes, the most important of which were the Dalton forest being cut to make way for houses and industrial zones.

In the north-west of the map, most of the trees in Dalton forest were cleared. After that, the open space was utilized to establish a residential area and a hospital. Moreover, a major industrial zone near the river at the southern part was built with the development of the roadway in 2015, replacing the bridleway across the place. In the middle of the town, a bridge was added which connected two distinct parts.

On the other side of the picture, there used to be hall farm which had cattle in the south-east of the place in 1815 before being converted into residents space. In the south of the river, an airport also was erected. Additionally, a similar trend can be seen as the left side, many trees were cut down to make way for school and houses for citizens. Finally, there were a construction of a hotel in the east of the village, just below the Dalton hall in 2015.
