The maps provided illustrate the accessibility to City Hospital in two different years: 2007 and 2010.
Overall, the most significant change in the local infrastructure was the expansion of the original car park, the installation of a new bus station, and the addition of two roundabouts, all aimed at improving access to City Hospital.
In 2007, public transportation users traveling to and from the hospital boarded and disembarked from buses on either side of Hospital Road, which connected to the Ring Road surrounding the hospital. Hospital staff and visitors commuting by car could park in the area south of the hospital, alongside Hospital Road.
The renovations greatly enhanced accessibility to the hospital. The original car park, which served both hospital staff and the public, was repurposed exclusively for staff parking. A new parking area was constructed to accommodate additional vehicles. Furthermore, a bus station was built to replace the previous bus stops along Hospital Road. Finally, the two roundabouts—one connecting Hospital Road to the Ring Road around City Hospital and the other linking City Road to Hospital Road—provided a more efficient route to the hospital, reducing traffic congestion.
