The two pie charts illustrate the proportions of energy usage for different appliances of an average family in Australia in two years, 1995 and 2015.
Overall, it can be seen that heating resulted in the most used appliance in both years. Followed after heating, water heating was the second most used purpose in the given years. Although sharing the same precentages in 1995, lightning, refrigeration and other appliances resulted in distinct proportions after the 20-year period.
Heating kept it’s position as the most used appliance between two years, starting with 40 percent in 1995 and ending with 30 percent in 2015. While heating lost 10 percent of its usage, refrigeration and other appliances started getting more popular by 2015, resulting with 15 percent and 20 percent, respectively.
Although lightning stayed the same with 10 percent over the given period, water heating decreased by 5 percent in 20 years, leaving room for the increase of refrigeration and other appliances with taking up only 25 percent of the chart.
