Overall, it is clear that all sectors receive a higher percentage of psychologists employees, except for private clinics and hospitals and medical centres. In addition, private clinics are the primary anticipated sector for psychologists, they work at schools and universities the most.
With reference to the two most anticipated categories, although 68% of psychology students expect to work at private clinics, just 16% of them can fulfill their expectation. Following this, the percentage of future psychologists desiring to work at hospitals and medical centres is 13% while only a quarter of them are employed.
Concerning the remaining sectors, for anticipation, the figures for educational institutions and community agencies are both 8%. In actuality, nearly a half of psychology students work at schools and universities while the proportion of them working at community agencies is 26%. Finally, the figure for other workplaces is 8%, which is higher than expectation, at only 2%.
