It is clear that Canada’s online shopping sales increased highest in electronics and appliances, while video games were the smallest segment of the retail sectors in Canada.
In 2005, electronics and appliances had the highest sales at 35%. In 2010, electronics and appliances comprised approximately 30%. Afterwards, the proportion of food and beverage sectors in 2005 was only 22%. However, the food and beverage sectors improved over a five-year period, the percentage rose to 32%.
On the other hand, the rate of video games was the smallest in 2005, about 18%. In contrast, the video games percentage soared to 23% in 2010. Additionally, the proportion of home furnishings was near to 25% in 2005, but in 2010, the home furnishings decreased approximately 15% for retail sectors in Canada.
