Overall, In 2008, agriculture contributed the most to Canada economy, while construction had the smallest share. By 2024, healthcare and education became the largest sector, whereas finance, business, and other services had the least contribution.
In 2008, the construction sector accounted for only 3 % of Canada economy, while by 2024 it is increased sharply until 10 %. Meanwhile, manufacturing grew modestly from 8% to 12%, whereas finance, business, and other services showed only a slight increase since 5 to 8 %, and transportation rose from 14% to 16%.
By contrast, in 2024 the leisure sector experienced an unnoticeable change, decreasing from 12% to 9%. However, agriculture increased significantly to 14%, whereas it accounted for 24% in 2008. As a result, health and education remained stable in both years at 17%.
