In 2010, the highest waste generator was the USA, which generated 3.2 million metric tons, followed by China, which generated 2.5 million metric tons, whereas India and Russia are comparatively the same, at about 2 and 1.8 million metric tons. Additionally, 1 million metric tons for the country of Brazil.
Moreover, in 2020, the least waste generating country was Brazil, with about 2.5 million metric tons, followed by the USA, with 5 million metric tons. Apart from this, there is a 0.1 metric ton difference seen in Russia, and Brazil was 2.6 to 2.5 million metric tons. Additionally, India was the third largest country in the generation of waste, which is predicted to be about 3.5 million metric tons.
