The pie charts demonstrate the proportions of marital status in the populations of Canada and Australia
Overall most people in both countries either are married or seperated, however, there are difences in these figures in each country. Other types of marital status such as never married, widowed. divorced have very slight differences in both countries.
Marriage rate in Australia, with 46%, is significantly higher than that in Canada, with only 29%. However, Canadian marriages are more likely to end in seperation than Australian ones since there are 53% of people are seperated in Canada in comparision with 41% in Australia.
The single percentage of Canada, with 7%, is 2% higher than that of Australia, with only 5%. Moreover, according to the pie charts, there is no same sex marriage in Australia. This is contrary to Canada’s population which has 3% of same-sex marriage. The rate of divorce in Australia, on the other hand, doubled the rate of that in Canada. but the figure is minor with only 2%. The proportions of widows in both countries are similar, with only 1% difference.
