The given bar graph depicts the percentages of water used for domestic, agriculture and industrial purposes in six different Gulf Countries in 2000. Overall, it was agricultrue that most countries used the largest amount of water for, while domestic use accounted for the highest only in a few countries. The figure for industrial was the smallest share in all countries.
Regarding agriculture, highest water consumption allocating around over 80% to the Saudi Arabia and Oman. Qatar and UAE followed closely behind, using roughly three-fifth. Meanwhile, Bahrain and Kuwait recorded the lowest figures, at approximately 40% and 20% respectively.
Turning to the other sectors, water used for domestic use was highest in Kuwait at over three-fifth which is as triple as it of agriculture and industrial. In Bahrain, it was the water that used for households was predominant at around a half. Conversely, domestic consumption was relatively low in Oman and Saudi Arabia, accounting for only under 20%. As for industrial purposes, the proportions were minimal across all six nations, remaining below 20% and falling to just around 5% in Qatar and Oman.
