The bar chart shows the usage of water for Gulf countries in 2000 and is measured in percentages. Overall, it is clear that Oman, Saudia, Qatar and UAE spent more water on agriculture use while Kuwait and Bahrain spent more on domestic usage. Industrial field accounted for low levels of water usage in all six countries.
In Saudia and Oman, over 80% of water was spent on agriculture in 2000, making this field dominant in water use. In contrast, domestic usage consumed very low amount of water, 15% in Saudia and 12% in Oman. Water spent for industrial usage was below 10% in both countries.
Turning to Qatar and UAE, water consumption in agriculture was over 60% while domestic use was 35% in UAE and 30% in Qatar. Like Saudia and Oman, these two countries spent very low levels of water for industrial sector.
Regarding Bahrain and Kuwait, the use of water was higher in domestic than other sections, almost 50% in Bahrain and 60% in Kuwait. The second largest water usage sector was agriculture, with under 40% in Bahrain and its half amount in Kuwait. Industrial usage was low in both countries.
