The bar chart illustrates 7 male and female age groups which consume five or more portions of fruit and vegetables daily in a single year 2006. The data is given in percentages.
Overall, it is evident that the older age group has the right amount of prescribed natural food they consume.
As is observed in the graph, a significant proportion of men and women aged 55-64, take a prescribed amount of natural food, men make up approximately 33% and women 35%, whereas the age group of 19-24 consumes the least amount in the graph, accounting for 15% for men and just roughly 16% for women.
It is notable that men aged 25 to 54 consume almost the same proportion, at 20 %, while female consumption gradually increased from more than a fifth to roughly more than a quarter. Getting older, after sixty-five, individuals’ demand for fruit and vegetables decreased to exactly a quarter.
To conclude, middle aged citizens care more about their health than younger generations.
