The World Health Organization, suggests, that people for all genders should eat of five or more portions of fruit and vegetables every single day.
Overall, it can be seen that female percentage of consuming fruit and vegetables, was higher than males, over the 2006. The rates generally increased with age, peaking in the 45-54 age group for both genders, then slightly decreased to roughly 25 percent for males and females.
First of all, the lowest indicator acrss all groups was in19-24 age group, where males had only approximately 15 percent, while females had just over 16 percent. The consumption percentage growth with age, reached around 20 percent for males and more than 23 percent in the 35-44 age group. The 55-64 age group, recorded the peack of consuming fruits and vegetables, where percentage over the males were about 33 percent, and nearly 35 percent for females.
The 65-74 age group and older, had downward trend. In comparison, the percentage decreased to around 27 percent for males, and to sliglhtly lower 30 percent for females, in 65-74 age group. Finally it decreased to approximetly 25 percent for both genders in 75 age group.
