Overall, Tennis sport remained the popular sport, while football and Rugby faced a significant rise. On the other hand Cricket encoutered a downward trend over the years.

In 1997, the participation of adults in Rugby sport was around 32% and over the period of 20 years it faced a significant increase to almost 50%. Similary, football participation rose from around 31% to almost 50% in 2017. Basketball sport participation almost doubled from around 9% to almost 21% in 2017. Golf sport faced a slight increase from around 31% in 1997 to almost 33% in 2017. Tennis showed the same trend where it rose from 50% to almost 52%.

Conversely, the participation in cricket sport dropped from around 24% in 1997 to almost 8% in 2017. Swimming sport stayed constant.
