The bar chart illustrates the percentage of tourism trends in Harbour City Tourism in three different periods (1970, 1985, and 2000). The trends include occupancy of city or coastal hotel, rail or air travel, and adventure tourism.
All in all, there was a general increase of the trends in the year 1985, followed by a decrease in the year 2000, although the percentages were mostly higher than the starting period of 1970. Adventure tourism seemed to have a positive development over the 30 years period, while travels and hotel occupancy showed mixed results.
While travel by air continuously rose from 40% to approximately 70% in 1970 and 2000 respectively, rail travel seemed to be reduce by half from 60% to about 30% in the same period. In addition, in the three recorded years, adventure tourism rose from 20% to 40% before ending at 50%.
Generally, there had been more city hotel occupied than coastal hotel, except in 1985, when coastal hotel witnessed a substansial increase, reaching over the city hotel occupancy by 10%. However, by the end, city hotel occupancy was at 60% compared to the 10% in coastal hotel occupancy.
