The line graphs show how the population of urban and rural areas has changed and classification of ages from the year 1950 to 2040.
Overall, the number of people in urban areas dominated and is expected to be higher than the population of rural areas. While the figure for people aged between 15-65 is foreseen to reach 35% by 2040, the percentage of individuals between the ages of under 15 and over 65 is projected to stay relatively stable over the given years.
To begin with the population of a countryside, its figure soared from about 6% to approximately 23% in 2020; it is expected to increase to around 38% by 2040 which boosted the total amount of individuals in the meantime. However, the figure for rural occupants is foreseen to remain unchanged by 2040, unlike the indicator of an urban population it is expected to have no impact on the total number.
With regards to the age trends in age structure, it can be noticed that the figure for the age group between 15-65 was the highest in 2020, though it is expected to rise to 35% by 2040, the most significant increase compared to the other age groups. The figures for under 15 and over 65 aged people stayed and is projected to stay at nearly the same level with a range of 5-6% from 1950 to 2040.
