Overall, at the beginning of the period, the Canadas’s exports of wheat took the leading position, although at the end of the period European Community’s sales of wheat overperformed Canada.
In years between 1985 and 1990, Canada’s exports of wheat witnessed fluctuation. At the beginning of the period, the volume of wheat that has been sold abroad comprised just under 20, and went through a period of gradual decrease to nearly 17 in 1986, before experiencing a radical increase to 25 in 1988. By 1990, the volume of wheat sold by Canada followed a dramatic rise to nearly 19, after an enormous decline to about 14 in 1989.
From 1985 to 1990, the volume of wheat exported in Australia showed a gradual decrease, while Europe went through a steeply rise over a whole period. At the beginning of the period European Community’s exports comprised just under 20, and, in 1986, the volume of wheat sold in Australia went through a period of dramatic increase to 16, exceeding the Europe’s exports, which had only 14. After an increase in volume of wheat exported in Australia, it followed a steeply reduction to nearly 11 at the end of the period. However, in Europe it rose considerably to about 21 at the same period.
