Dear Ramesh,

I hope you and your family are doing well. I got to know from your post on LinkedIn about your promotion as a Vice President of Engineering at Google.

First of all, I want to congratulate you on the achievement. I have always been a great supporter of your career growth. Moreover this new makes me feel really proud of you.

I am planning a small gathering at my home next week for few of the closest friends and colleagues on the occasion of my kid’s birthday. I would love to invite you for the same and hoping that you could come join us along with your family.

There is a lot going on in my personal life. Recently, I have completed the interiors of my newly bought apartment and shifted there. I have left Bain Consulting and joining BCG as Engagement Manager next week. This is going to be an exciting journey for me and I would continue to seek your advices as I progress.

Once again, congratulations on this great milestone you have achieved in your career. I look forward to seeing you soon.
