I am writing to file a complaint about my luggage that was lost while I was travelling from Sydney to Manchester last week.
The luggage is a medium-sized, dark brown bag with golden wheels. Since the luggage was newly bought for this trip, it is in good condition. Unfortunately, the travel tag which stated the flight number and my contact information was ripped off.
While I am not completely sure how it was lost, I assume that the cargo staff might have placed it on a different flight. Moreover, it is possible that it has been kept in the lost and found section because of the missing tag with flight details. However, the airport staff is not sure about it.
At the time of booking the flight, the operator gave me an option to take out insurance for the luggage to cover any loss or damage. I opted for the insurance policy, and the confirmation email is attached for your reference. Therefore, I request you consider my claim and reimburse the amount after completing the insurance procedure.
