Overall, it is apparent that salt water dominates global water resources, while most fresh water is located in ice and glaciers. Moreover, Egypt and Saudi Arabia use most of their water for agriculture, while Canada uses most of its water for industry.
Salt water accounts for 95% of global water, compared to fresh water at just 5%. Regarding fresh water, ice and glaciers are the biggest resource for the fresh water at an impressive 75%, in comparison with ground water and surface water with 23% and 2% respectively.
When it comes to the use of water, Egypt and Canada use most of their water for agriculture at 84% and 83% respectively, while Canada follows behind at 9%. With regards to domestic, Egypt and Saudi Arabia are dominant at 15%, followed closely by Canada at 10%. In contrast, Canada uses most of its water for industry at 80%, slightly higher than Saudi Arabia and Egypt at 10% and 8% respectively.
