Overall, it is clearly seen that the number of men smoking was the highest over the whole period compared with women. What is more, the data for women fluctuated over the decade.
In terms of men, the number reached almost 4 million in the first year, while for women, it was slightly lower at approximately 0,5. From the middle of the period, the number of men smoking cigarettes reduced and fluctuated between years almost till the last year. By 2021, it reached its lowest point at around 1,2 million people.
Regarding the number of women, for almost the whole decade, the figure was fluctuating, and in the end, it almost reached 1 million. Additionally, in the final year, the number of women smoking was lower than for men as it was in the beginning.
