The two maps compare tge current layout if Bunborough village with its proposed plan in 2024.
Overall, despite some features remaining the same, this village will transfrom into a tourist destination, with significant changes in the infrastructure and on the coastal side amenities.
At present, Bunborough is located north west of the sea, with a river situates on the west of the village and flowes into the sea, there’s a road that crosses the village from north east to west, along which housing and shops are found. This same road is linked to aain road that connects Bunborough to Maychester by north and Lynwich by south. On the seafront area there is a fishing port with three docks. Moreover, a beach lies to the south west of the fishing port following the coast line.
By autumn 2024, a new road will be laid linking directly the village with Lynwich and a railway will be constructed around the village with a station on the outskirts. Some houses adjacent to the river will be relocated to th eopposite side of the road to allow for the train station to be built, meanwhile the overall number of the residential units will not greatly change. Although, the fishing port will be supplanted by a promenade and on the northern west of the latter a hotel will be constructed. Whereas, the shopping area and the beach will remain unchanged. While, another hotel will be built on the western side of the beach.
