The image contrasts two maps of Westley in 1815 and the present (labelled "Westley Now"). In 1815, Westley features a central road connection from Stenton to Oakwood and Lenton, with a Coach street near the center, flanked by Lenton Woods, a chapel, scattered residential huts, and open fields. Presently, "Westley Now" illustrates a more urbanized layout with the addition of Treton Village, a Sports Area, West Gate Housing Estate, Residential Areas (field locations), a School, and a named location, Lakes. The central path has expanded to include a rail track along its length and an interchange point near the Sports area, connecting Oakwood, Treton, and Lenton via newer, more defined roadways. The residential patterns have grown and diversified with labeled areas for specific functions such as Museums, Shops near the Lakes, and a Sport Area to the south-east. The chapel and fields have been replaced largely by residential and utility structures, illustrating the township's evolution from agrarian to a more complex urban subdivision.
Given the complexity of the image, the above description may not be entirely accurate.
