The line graph compares the consumption of water for agricultural reasons between Australia and Russia over a ten-year period from 2000 to 2010.

Overall, it is evident that both countries had a substantial increased usage at the end of the period. But Russia had increased slightly more than the opposing nation.

To begin with, in 2000, Australia had a low but relatively stable water consumption of 500 cubic metres and had a rapid growth following the next two years. This resulted to a gradual increase and reached a peak of about 2000 cubic metres by the end of the period.

In contrast, Russia had double the usage at the begining of the period and a sharp rise of approximately 1800 cubic metres in 2003. However, in 2007, the figure dropped suddenly to about 1300 metres and rose gradually just above 2000 cubic metres in the following three years, surpassing the opposing country.
