The line chart compares water consumption for agricultural purposes in Australia and Russia from 2000 to 2010. Overall Australia’s water consumption increased slightly meanwhile Russia’s water consumption showed fluctations through the ten year period.
The chart illustrates that Australia remained nearly stable between 2000 and 2002. Then in 2003 the water consumption rose dramatically for two years. Starting from 2005 the line began to increase modestly.
In the case of Russia’s graph, it varied considerably. The line increases slightly from 2000 to 2002. Starting from 2002 it sharply rises and reaches its peak value. Following this it reaches its lowest point in 2007. Towards the end of the period Russia’s graph increases and decreases.
Overall, untill 2006 Russia’s water consumption for agricultural purposes was higher then Australia’s. When Russia reached the lowest point, Russia’s water consumptian was lower than Australia’s.
