Band 6+: You are interested in taking a course at a college in another city. Write a letter to the college. In your letter: explain why you are interested in the course; ask for information about the course; ask about accommodation and fees.

Note: Both the topic and the answer were created by one of our users.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I’m writing to let you know that I’m really interested in your new course about family law and I would like to take it. I actually heard about it for the first time from one of my good friends, he recommended it to me and he said that he gained a lot of knowledge about the subject.

If you don’t mind, I would like to ask you for some information about the course. First I’d like to ask you about the date of the first day of the course? Another question is how long is the course? I also would like to know about the course plan and the professors names?

In addition, I actually live in London, so I’m looking for accommodation. To be honest I looked for one on the internet and they all were too expensive for me. That’s why I would like to ask you about the accommodation in the college. I also like to know how much is the fee because as I said before I’m on a budget.

Thank you for your consideration.

Yours faithfully,

Mayar.
