Dear Dalhousie’s student union,

Greetings! My name is Prit Sorathiya, and I am upcoming master student of Computer Science at Dalhousie University. I am writing to inquire about the concerns that I have regarding the accommodations and there abroad lifestyle.

I am aware that English is most prominent and common language that is being used by the students as well as faculty staffs at the University. However, I found that French is also widely popular among the locals. Although I do have proficiency in the English, I am afraid that do I have to acquire a basic knowledge of the French language?

Moreover, I am an IT enthusiastic, and highly interested to participate in various software or Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects. Because of that, I was wondering are there any students or community clubs who are focusing on software development and technology innovation? Undoubtedly, such associations help me to introduce with similar mind people and eventually ease my living in the foreign country.
