Dear Mr Black,

I am writing to you to warn you about quitting the voluntary work. I cannot work here any longer due to my personal reasons. Let me explain to you everything.

I have been working with homeless people for 3 years. My duties included taking care of them by visiting and providing food and drinks.

Since I became a freshman in the university, I had less time for performing my tasks. We have too many projects to complete by the specific time, as teachers set deadlines. Therefore, I prioritise my studies over beeing a volunteer.

Nevertheless, I have a person, who I may recommend to you. It is my groupmate, who has an experience in volunteering. Several months ago she worked with the elderly, so, her duties were the same as mine. She is responsible, accurate and gregarious. In my opinion, she would be suitable for my position.
