Band 7+: You have eaten at a restaurant and it was such a terrible experience that you have decided to inform the manager by letter of what happened, and that you want your money back.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to make a formal complaint about the food quality and staff service at Sushi Tei – Werribie Mall.

Yesterday, I dined at your restaurant to celebrate a birthday with my parents. While the sushi we ordered was satisfactory, the fried noodles we chose were of a poor quality. The chicken in the noodles was undercooked, evidenced by its chewy texture and pink-ish colour. Upon notifying the staff about this issue, they took the plate back to the kitchen without offering an apology. However, after a short wait, our noodles were brought back to our table. We were dismayed to find it was the same dish reheated. As a result, the noodles looked charred and overcooked. Despite expressing our disappointment and returning the noodles, the staff refused to refund us, offering only insincere apologies.

This experience was entirely unacceptable, and I would like a full refund of the amount paid. I would also suggest that your staff need to be educated on how to serve customers appropriately in order to avoid disappointing experiences such as these.

I have attached a photo evidence of the issue.

Your faithfully

Anne Iglesias
