Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to express my concern about the deteriorating historical monument Taj Mahal, which is located in Agra.

Last week me and my friend were given a project, and he chose the topic to be the Mughal emperor. So, we thought the best place to gain information about that era would be Taj Mahal. During our visit, I was shocked to see the place’s poor condition, therefore, I believe its renovation is need of an hour.

Furthermore, there are numerous other things that I noticed. Firstly, tourists throw their waste around the mahal, which affects its beauty. Besides this, the marbel’s color changed due to excessive pollution. Apart from this, limited facilities are available for senior tourists who enjoy the history of the Mughal period.

All in all, I want you to publish that issue in the Times newspaper, due to which public will become aware about it and take some action to preserve this monument for the upcoming generation. Moreover, the maintenance department of the building should focus more on cleanliness and install bins, for travelers to throw the waste in, instead of around the mahal.
