Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to request a change in my accommodation at Bates Residence, as I am finding it increasingly difficult to share a room with my current roommate.
The issues began shortly after the start of term, when my roommate started playing online video games until the early hours, often shouting loudly during intense matches. This has severely disrupted my sleep, leaving me exhausted and unable to concentrate during lectures. Moreover, he regularly invites several friends over most evenings, turning our room into a noisy social space that makes studying impossible. Despite politely raising these concerns with him on two occasions last week and agreeing on quieter hours, the disturbances have persisted unabated.
In light of this, I would much prefer a single-occupancy studio apartment or a quiet single room in another hall. Such an arrangement would provide the privacy and peace I need to maintain my academic performance and well-being.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and hope to relocate by the end of next week.
Yours faithfully,
Henry Tu
