Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to inquire about the availability of voluntary, unpaid work as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher. I am particularly interested in teaching academically deprived children in a developing country, preferably in Bangladesh for a period of three months.

I have completed a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia in 2019. I have two years of experience as a freelance tutor in teaching ESL to students from China with ages ranging from 6 to 16, in both group and one-to-one settings. This clearly demonstrates that I have firsthand experience in communicating with non-English speaking children according to their needs. In addition, I have certification in Early Childhood Education from EdX.

Although teaching is different from the major I studied in, I grew interests in the field as I worked as an ESL tutor following my graduation. Now I am planning to enroll into a postgraduate program in ESL in my alma mater. Therefore, I am keen to enhance my skills as an ESL teacher to deprived children in a developing country like Bangladesh as I believe this would give me an added advantage in securing scholarship for the program as well as an opportunity to make societal contributions.
