Dear Sara,

I’m writing this letter to express how sorry i am to miss your wedding. It was a hectic day at work and we were a bit short staffed, so the nurse cheif ordered me to stay longer. Even though i asked to leave and explained why, i could’nt.

I’m deeply sorry about not attending your big day, i felt really bad and i hope you are not dissapointed. I called your mom in advance to express my regret and she was kind enough to understand.

However, i will make it up for you as soon as you come back from your honeymoon. I have a really nice gift for you, something you always wanted to have. I hope we can put this behind us and know that i regret not taking a holiday days before your ceremony.
