Dear Mr. John,
I would like to update you regarding recent 2-week medical research course, I have taken in Lahore.
There are several important things, I have learn, which eventually enhance my professional development. Firstly, I used to conduct only cross-sectional research in our hospital, which take time to publish in journal. However, through this course, I studied a wide range of advance research, such as clinical trials, meta-analysis, systematic review, and network meta-analysis, eventually assisting me in conducting modern research in our healthcare setting as we have data of patients suffer with a wide range of diseases.
Additionally, it is essential for researchers to well-versed with different statistical softwares, and I used to rely on statisticans for carrying out result analysis. Through this short training course, I have learn how to export data, and generate results by using different statistical softwares, such as SPSS, Revman manager, and Open-metanalyst.
I am awared that many people have approached you for enrolling in aformentioned course; however, it is important to understand that most of them will be leaving our hospital for fellowship. Furthmore, majority of trainee currently enrolled in specialities of medicine, where research rarely required. As a result, this course will be unsuitable for them.
I am looking forward to meet you and discuss further about future plan for cultivating research in our hospital.
Yours sincerely,
Vikash.
