Dear Mr. Davis,
Please accept my sincere apologies for my sudden absence from the “Advanced Project Management” training course last week, which was generously funded by the company.
Unfortunately, on the morning of the course, I experienced a severe medical emergency. I had a sudden allergic reaction that required immediate attention, and I was rushed to the hospital where doctors kept me under observation for the entire day.
I deeply regret that I was unable to notify you or the HR department before the course commenced. The situation escalated so rapidly that I did not have my phone with me. By the time my condition stabilized and I had access to my belongings, the training session had already concluded.
To ensure I do not miss out on the valuable information covered, I have spoken with my colleague, Sarah, who attended the course. She has kindly shared her detailed notes and the training manual with me. Additionally, I have registered for a corresponding online webinar hosted by the same training provider, which I will complete over this weekend.
Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience my absence may have caused the team.
Yours sincerely,
John Smith
