Dear Course Organizer,
I am writing to express my disappointment with the Modern Web Architectures short course held from March 18-20. I enrolled to gain hands-on experience with Hibernate and REST APIs, but the experience fell short of expectations.
The primary issue was the lack of practical application. The sessions were overly theoretical, and the provided code examples felt outdated compared to current industry standards. Additionally, significant time was lost to technical issues with the local development environments, which should have been pre-configured.
To improve future iterations, I suggest a “lab-first” approach. Providing a complex project, such as a Society Management System, would allow participants to apply backend concepts in a real-world context. Furthermore, integrating modern DevOps topics like Infrastructure as Code (IaC) would make the curriculum far more relevant.
I hope this feedback helps refine the program for future students.
Sincerely,
Prince Ashishkumar Patel
