Dear Atif,
I hope this letter finds you in perfect health. The reason I am writing to you is solely to appreciate your performance at the festival yesterday. I was there standing high among the crowd cheering on top of my lungs for you.
I really don’t know where to begin, but let’s start by praising you excellent band, who were absolutely terrific with their instruments. The way you sang your medley of old and new songs was truly awe-inspiring and heart-touching. Your unwavering passion toward music was evident from such wonderfully strong vocals you possess. You truly are a gem for our country. However, the highlight of yesterday’s performance by you was “Tu jane na” where the public went crazy and resonated with you while you sang. Thank you for giving us songs we can remember for a great long while.
In addition to this, I would love to share my musical journey with you. I have made quite some success from the days when I was just a bathroom singer. Today, I have written, composed, and sung four of my own originals, one of which has been uploaded on my YouTube channel. Music brings solace to my soul. It bridges my world with another realm, where there are shining constellations and brimming lights. And so, I compose slow, meaningful music that can traverse this universe and skyrocket us to another dimension.
That being said, I am proud of the few laurels I have brought to myself, but my dreams soar even higher. I aspire to become a renowned pop-star. I want to sing for the Coke Studio and the Nescafe Basement like you do. Much of this would be possible with your help and backing. If you could allow me just one chance to showcase my talent to you through a video call or a small music collaboration, it would help me climb the ladder to my dream career of a pop music icon by leaps and bounds.
I hope you will read this email and will want to hear me out once.
Your Die-hard Fan,
Malaika Masroor
