The bars charts display the percentage of employees in three different fields of work: agriculture, industry and services in 1980 and 2010. The data is from four countries: Germany, USA, Japan and China.

Overall, in 1980 China had the highest number of agriculture workers, while Germany had the most labourers in the industry. The quantity of service workers was very similar across the countries, with Japan having the lowest. In 2010, there was a similar pattern however the number of industiral workers in Germany grew exponentially while the farmers number dropped in China, and fewer people worked in services in all regions.

On the other hand, Germany was composed of 60% of industrial craftsment, whereas the rest had approxiametly 50% to 40%. Employees in the service sector were the most in Germany and China, as they accounted for nearly 50%. USA and Japan were not far behind, with the former having just under 50% and the latter almost 40%.

In 2010, the agriculture sector exapanded greatly in most areas, as it reached just above 80% in Germany, 70% in the USA, 80% in Japan. However, China did not undergo any increase or decrease. There were not any drastic changes in the number of farmers, except in China where it declines to 50%. All regions encountred a drop in the service sector, with Germany having the most labourers with roughly 40% and China having the least with around 20%.
