The line graph illustrates the percentages of imports from Australlia in four different countries in the period from 1990 to 2012. Exports to China had a major upward trend while others remained relatively stagnant.
Japan started at around 25 percent in 1990, being first of all countries at the time. The percentage decreased steadily until reached approimately 20 percent in 1995, remaining relatively stagnant afterwards. China started at only around 2.5 percent. It increased steadily until it spiked in the year 2000. It overtook the US in the early 2000s and had another major spike in 2005, overtaking Japan in 2007 and taking its place as the top importer from Australia.
The US started at over 10 percent in 1990. It fluctuated over the period shown in the graph with an overall downward trend, untimately reaching around 5 percent in 2012. India, on the other hand, started at around 2.5 percent. It remained steady until it slightly spiked in 2000. It peaked at around 7 percent in 2010 then dipped to around 5 percent in 2012.
