The provided line graph presents information about the percentages of Australian exports with four different countries: USA, Japan, China and India, between 1990 and 2012.
It can be clearly seen that, the figures for Australian exports to China and India experienced an improvement, while Japan and the USA saw downward trends. It is also noteworthy that China skyrocketed dramatically throughout the given period compared to other countries.
Commencing at only 3%, China experienced very remarkable increase to its peak in 2012, reaching almost 30%. In contrast, Japan saw a consistent reduction in the export percentages, starting from nearly 27% in 1990, before considerably decreasing to approximately 17% in 2012.
On the other hand, the percentages of the USA and India fluctuated over the given period. Exports of Australia to the USA initially fell from 10% in 1990 to 8% at 1995, then rose back to 10% by 2000, before it dramatically collapsed in 2010 accounting for about 5%. It is noteworthy that in the beginning India had the lowest percentages of Australian export at about 1%, then fractionally went upward to slightly more than 5% by 2010.
