Dearest Cynthia,
I hope you’re doing well. It’s been long since we last saw each other. I’m really glad you reached out, and l wanted to respond with some suggestions.
I know changing schools can come with different feelings and emotions, more importantly finding it difficult to fit into a new environment and meeting new people. All this won’t matter once you’re able to make new friends who would put you through how things are done over there.
Here are some suggestions on how to go about it. Firstly, all schools have various clubs that are fun and beneficial to students. I know you love sports a lot, so joining a sport club will give you more exposure to meet friends who have the same perspective as you. Secondly, taking part in schools activities like games, tournaments, choir, and volunteering will enable you meet more people that you share common interest with. That way you adjust with the environment, become more exposed and comfortable.
Lastly, just a general piece of advice, don’t let friends dictate how to run your life over there. Don’t act naive so you don’t get bullied or being treated like you don’t belong, so be very smart. More so, take your academics seriously, because l heard the school is very competitive.
I hope to hear from you soon to gist about how well you’re coping.
Your’s sincerely,
Christy
