The given maps illustrate the current layout of Islip town center and proposed plans for its development.

Overall, this town will undergo significant changes, with the focus on modernization and improved infrastructure.

Currently, lslip town center is characterized by a main road, running through its heart, flanked by shops on both sides. Housing areas are situated to the south and center of the town, with a park and a school located to the east and the west, respectively. the surrounding area is predominantly countryside.

The planned development introduces several noticeable changes. The main road will be transformed into a dual carriageway, encircling the town center. The central area will become a pedestrian only, with shops remaining, but being modernized. A new bus station and a car park will be constructed in the north of the town, enhancing public transport and parking facilities. Additionally, new housing zones will be added to the north and east of the town, improving accommodation for citizens. However, the school and the park will be kept in their current locations.
