Overall, the imprisonment fluctuated in all the countries over the given years. US and Canada showed the highest imprisonment in comparison to other nations.

In 1930, Great Britain had the lowest imprisonment which was around 30 thousands and it remained same after 10 years. In the following years, the imprisonment rate gradually increased in this country and it peaked at about 65 thousands by 1980. Australia had the lower imprisonment than New Zealand over the 60 years, except in 1970 in which year the rate was same for the three nations Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand. In 1980, the imprisonment reached at about 45 and 85 thousands respectively for the country Australia and New Zealand.

At First, the imprisonment was about 100000 for both the countries, New Zealand and US and Canada had more imprisonment which is around 120,000. But after 10 years, Canada lagged behind compared to US and their rate fluctuated in the following years and finally by 1980 US peaked at about 140,000 which was the highest value in comparison to other countries.
