The bar charts illustrate working people’s activities in different countries over two different years: 1958 and 2008. Units are given in percentages.
Overall, all six activities experienced significant change over the given period. Working consistently had the highest percentage while traveling to work and going out showed the most rapid increase. In contrast, relaxing at home’s growth was relatively slow ,while sleeping saw a moderate decrease.
Working time grew dramatically from 33% in 1958 to 42% in 2008. This represents an increase over a 10%, making it the most time-requiring activity on the graph. Similarly,traveling to work saw a significant rise,starting at aroung 2% in 1958 and reaching 8% by 2008 an increase of more than 4 times its original figure.
On the other hand, relaxing at home experienced significant shrink, from 13% to 5%. Also people started sleeping less, it had very significant impact on their health, it shrinked from 32% to 25%.
